history

The Griesmühle was first mentioned in 976. In the year 1300 the mill belonged to the provost office of Hersbruck , lower court, iniquity court and tax were with the Hersbruck maintenance office . Manorial membership and legal situation did not change until the 19th century. The hallway of the mill was tithe free , which was very rare. The tenth lord of the mill was G. Engelhard zu Sieglitzhof around 1800. In 1808 the Griesmühle became part of the Enzendorf community, belonging to the Hersbruck district court and the Artelshofen tax district. In 1818 the Griesmühle had eight residents in one residential building. In 1875 the mill had 15 residents. In 1925 the population had dropped to nine in a residential building. In 1950, seven residents lived in a residential building in Griesmühle. In 2010, the Griesmühle still had two residents (from the historical survey by the architects' office Stuhlmann).
