The hamlet of Loch is one of 15 districts of the municipality of Hartenstein in the Middle Franconian district of Nürnberger Land in Bavaria . Loch belongs to the administrative district of Middle Franconia and to the administrative community of Velden (Pegnitz) .

The agricultural village consists of around 20 buildings including extensions and is surrounded by fields, meadows and forests. Until January 1, 1972, Loch belonged to the community of Grünreuth with Groß- and Kleinmeinfeld . There is also an organic farm in the village. The residents of Loch have the LAU license plate.

location

Loch is at the southernmost end of the municipality of Hartenstein, south of Großmeinfeld and Kleinmeinfeld on the connecting road from Hirschbach (Upper Palatinate) to Kleinmeinfeld. Upper Franconia and the Upper Palatinate border in the immediate vicinity. The neighboring villages are Großmeinfeld, Kleinmeinfeld, Unterklausen , Obermühle (Hirschbach) , Stoffelmühle (Hirschbach) and Hirschbach. To the east, Loch is framed by the Kohlberg (565 m), the Piesnetsberg (521 m), the Mühlberg (499 m) and the Hirschberg (530 m).
