The Grindau rises in the cattle quarry near Wedemark-Plumhof and initially flows westward, among others via Lindwedel , Adolfsglück , Hope , Esperke to Grindau , where it flows into the Leine .

environment

The Hanover waterworks have lowered the water table to such an extent that the Grindau has dried out for most of the year. It only carries water when the Leine floods and after intense rainfall.
