Grischa Huber (born September 18, 1944 as Christel Magdalena Huber in Misdroy , Usedom-Wollin district , Western Pomerania ; † April 6, 2021 in Hamburg ) was a German actress .

Life

She was born on the island of Wollin , the daughter of a sailor . She took her first ballet and acting steps at the Karlsruhe State Theater . After further acting lessons in Munich with Ellen Mahlke , Grischa Huber made her debut there in 1967 at the Residenztheater in Jean Genet's Die Walls . This was followed by theater engagements in Cologne (1968/69), Berlin (from 1970), Mannheim (1973), Bochum (1979) and Hamburg (from 1986).

In 1970 she received her first film role in the feature film Lenz, based on the story of the same name by Georg Büchner . Thereafter, Grischa Huber was employed several times by the directors of the New German Film .

In 1974 she played the main role of Grischa in the film Unter dem Pflaster ist der Strand , on which she had also worked on the script, and which later earned her the stage name Grischa . In it, Grischa Huber portrayed an actress of the post- 1968 years who, although disaffected, is still going on her way with a strong will. Through this role she briefly became a symbol of a self-determined generation of young women. In 1975 she received the gold film tape for her performance . She was initially married to the actor Michael König . The daughter Muriel König emerged from the later divorced marriage. From 1999 until his death in 2017 she was married to the artist Götz Loepelmann . She last lived separately from him in Hamburg, but was still his muse and model.

Grischa Huber died on April 6, 2021 at the age of 76 in Hamburg.
