ways
In addition to crossing the ridge (see Arnspitz group ), there are three access routes, all of which lead to the Arnspitzhütte, from which the summit is easily accessible. The normal route (AV-Weg 851) leads from Scharnitz through the eastern flank. The ascent from the southwest from the Hohe Sattel (1495 m), which can be reached from the Scharnitz district of Gießenbach or from Leutasch , is less steep . The longest, but also most beautiful, approach is from the north via the Riedbergscharte (1450 m), which can be reached from Leutasch or Mittenwald . Since Mittenwald, Scharnitz and Gießenbach are connected by train ( Mittenwaldbahn ), it is easy to cross them.
The Arnspitz group is a dry limestone massif. Also at the Arnspitzhütte (1955 m, shelter, unmanaged) there is only collected rainwater.
