The Große Kreßinsee is a lake near Walow in the Mecklenburg Lake District in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania . The water has a size of 74.6 hectares and is 72.1 m above sea level. NHN . The maximum extent of the elongated lake, stretching from southwest to northeast, is 1650 meters by 580 meters. The main tributaries are a ditch from the Kleiner Kreßinsee at its western end and a stream from the north. On the south bank, the Kellerbach leads the water towards Müritz .
The shores of the lake are surrounded by a strip of forest, which is only interrupted in the southwest at the Strietfeld bathing area and a jetty. The water quality has been considered very good since 2000. The fish population includes eel , perch , pike , whitefish , roach and pikeperch .
