Grobleben is a district of the city Tangermünde in the district of Stendal in Saxony-Anhalt , Germany.

geography

The place Grobleben in the southeast of the Altmark is close to the Tangier , a right tributary of the Elbe . Stendal is around 20 kilometers and the center of Tangermünde around five kilometers from Grobleben.

history

Until December 31, 2009, Grobleben was an independent municipality and belonged to the now dissolved administrative community Tangermünde .

By means of a territorial change agreement, the local council of the community Grobleben decided on June 9, 2009 that the community Grobleben should be incorporated into the city of Tangermünde. This contract was approved by the county as the lower local supervisory authority and came into effect on January 1, 2010.

After incorporation of the previously independent community Grobleben, Grobleben becomes part of the city of Tangermünde. For the incorporated municipality, the local constitution was introduced according to §§ 86 ff. Of the municipality code of Saxony-Anhalt . The incorporated community Grobleben and future district Grobleben became the locality of the receiving city Tangermünde. A local council with nine members including the local mayor was formed in the incorporated community and now Grobleben.

Grobleben is located on the highway between Tangermünde and Lüderitz - there is a connection to federal highway 189 . Regular buses and on-call buses run by Regionalverkehrsbetriebe Westsachsen (RVW) under the brand name stendalbus . Demker train station, about two kilometers away, is on the Stendal - Magdeburg line .
