Ferry Grott (born May 20, 1963 in Potsdam ) is a German trumpeter , flugelhorn player , composer , music publisher and music producer .

biography

Ferry Grott began playing the piano at the age of eight and switched to the trumpet at the age of ten. From 1972 to 1980 he attended the Potsdam Music School. From 1980 to 1984 he studied jazz trumpet at the “Hanns Eisler” University of Music in Berlin with jazz trumpeter Joachim Graswurm .

Since 1986 he has been a permanent member of Gerhard Laartz's Modern Soul Band . In 1988 he played in the GDR jazz orchestra under the direction of Conny Bauer .
