The New Hope mine ran along the mountainside on the right side of the Strunder Bach from the Hammermühle to Gut Schiff . The main operating point of the mine was on the so-called Lochberg north of the Lochermühle . It can be reached by walking around 600 meters along the Strunde towards Herrenstrunden and then up the mountain to Rommerscheid in the curve where the street Am Mühlenberg meets the Vollmühlenweg . If you have not yet got all the way up the mountain, you will find pronounced, larger pings and a sizable heap .
