Gualtiero Sigismondi
Gualtiero Sigismondi (born February 25, 1961 in Ospedalicchio (district of Bastia Umbra ), Province of Perugia , Italy ) is an Italian clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Orvieto-Todi .
Life
Gualtiero Sigismondi received the sacrament of ordination for the Archdiocese of Perugia on June 29, 1986 .
On July 3, 2008, Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . to the Bishop of Foligno . The Archbishop of Perugia-Città della Pieve , Giuseppe Chiaretti , gave him on 12 September of the same year in the Cathedral of Perugia , the episcopal ordination ; Co- consecrators were the General Secretary of the Italian Bishops' Conference , Giuseppe Betori , and the Bishop Emeritus of Foligno, Arduino Bertoldo . The inauguration took place on October 5, 2008.
Pope Francis appointed him on March 4, 2017, in addition to the ecclesiastical general assistant of the Catholic Action in Italy.
On March 7, 2020, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Orvieto-Todi. The inauguration took place on June 28 of the same year.
