Gudmand Stork

Albrecht Angajugdleĸ Gudmand Stork [ ˈælbʁɛgd aŋaˈjuɬːɜq ˈguðmænˀ sdɒːg ] (born June 17, 1875 in Qasigiannguit ; † October 30, 1936 in Aamaruutissat ) was a Greenland state councilor .

Gudmand Stork was the son of Johan Henrik Christian Stork (1849–1884) and his first wife Lea Marie Elisabeth Dalager (1849–1877). He married Ane Marie Elisabeth Geisler (1879–1917), daughter of Jakob Kristoffer Rasmus Geisler and his wife Karoline Vilhelmine Gjertrud , on April 9, 1899 in Ilulissat . This marriage had the following children:

  • Jakobine Karoline Eleonora Judithe Stork (1902–1903)
  • Jakob Henrik Hans Abel Stork (1904–?)
  • Karoline Juliane Regine Stork married Andersen (1906–?)
  • Karl Jens Andreas Mathias Stork (1908–1910)
  • Sara Ane Martinette Kristine Stork married Brandt (1911–?)
  • Carl Jens Nikolaj Ferdinand Stork (1914–1916)
  • Johan Carl Svend Jess Stork (1916-1917)

After the death of his first wife, he married the widowed Mette Agathe Antonette Regine Sandgreen (1883-1936), daughter of Niels Carl Svend Sandgreen and his wife Salomine Sara on September 9, 1921 in Aamaruutissat. From this marriage there was only one son:

  • Lars Albrecht Augustinus Karl Stork (1922–?)

Gudmand Stork was a hunter by trade. In 1911 he was elected living in Aamaruutissat to the first North Greenland State Councilor . However, he was unable to attend the first session. He died of flu on October 30, 1936 at the age of 61, after his wife had succumbed to it eight days earlier.
