Albrecht Josefsen

Albrecht Josef Ananias Lars Mikael Josefsen (born March 20, 1857 in Maniitsoq , † November 11, 1921 in Niaqornat ) was a Greenlandic catechist and councilor .

Albrecht Josefsen was the son of Enok Esra and his wife Sara Maria. His great-nephew was the fisherman of the same name and Provincial Councilor Alibak Josefsen (1925–1987).

Albrecht was born in Maniitsoq in South Greenland , but later moved to North Greenland , where he worked as a catechist in Niaqornat. From 1911 to 1916 he was a member of the first North Greenland State Council. He died in Niaqornat in 1921 at the age of 64, presumably of a heart attack.
