Sascha Maaz

Sascha Maaz (* 1970 in Stuttgart ) is a German actor.

Life

Sascha Maaz grew up in Schwieberdingen in Swabia, in the Ludwigsburg district. After graduating from high school and training as a travel agent, he moved to Los Angeles, where he lived for two years. He worked in tourism and trained as an actor at the Professional School for Arts, Torrance, LA County, USA. After a long stay in Rio de Janeiro, Maaz began studying psychology at LMU and classical theater training at the Dorothea Gmelin acting studio in Munich, which he completed with a stage maturity test.

For his supporting role as Oberkommissar in Polizeiruf 110 "Smoke on the water" , Sascha Maaz was nominated for the German Actor Award 2015 in the category "Strong Performance".

In 2015 he was nominated for the Monica Bleibtreu Prize for his leading role as Matthew Quinn in Nicole Moeller's play "Almost Perfect" .

He works as an actor for theater and film. Maaz is a member of the Federal Drama Association (BFFS).
