Jakob Hegelund

Hendrik Jakob Emanuel Frederik Hegelund (born February 10, 1871 in Paamiut ; † unknown ) was a Greenland state councilor .

Jakob Hegelund was the son of the cooper Herman Kristian Jørgen Hegelund and his wife Tine Birthe Gjertrud Johanne. He was a hunter by trade . In 1911 he was elected to the first regional council in South Greenland , where he did not miss a session until the end of the 1916 legislative period. In February 1950, as Paamiut's eldest man in Grønlandsposten , he was congratulated on what was supposed to be his 80th birthday, although it was only his 79th. However, the date of his death is not known.
