Gudrun Brüne (born March 15, 1941 in Berlin ) is a German painter .

Life

After an apprenticeship as a bookbinder in Pößneck , Brüne first worked in the securities printing plant in Leipzig and also attended the evening academy at the Leipzig School of Graphics and Book Art . From 1961 she studied at the university with Heinz Wagner and the painter Bernhard Heisig , whom she married in 1991.

From 1966 to 1977 she worked as a freelancer and was part of the staff in her future husband's studio. In 1973 she showed her first solo exhibition. From 1974 to 1982 she was a member of the painter / graphic artist section of the Association of Visual Artists of the GDR . From 1977 she worked as an assistant, from 1979 to 1999 she held a teaching position at the Burg Giebichenstein Art College . From 1980 to 1986 she made numerous trips. In 1987 she was awarded the GDR Art Prize. Brüne exhibited at the Venice Biennale in 1988 and at Art Cologne in 1999.

In 1999 she and her husband moved to Strodehne in Havelland.
