Guido von Kessel

Guido von Kessel (born December 15, 1832 in Zeisdorf , Sprottau district , Brandenburg ; † November 28, 1903 in Zöbelwitz , Freystadt district , province of Silesia ) was a manor owner and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Kessel attended the Knight Academy in Liegnitz and studied at the universities of Bonn , Heidelberg and Berlin . In 1852 he became a member of the Corps Borussia Bonn . As a result, he was at the District Court of Frankfurt a. O. , and at the district governments in Frankfurt a. O. and active in Erfurt . He traveled extensively and spent seven months in France in 1870/71 as a member of the voluntary nursing service. From 1864 he was a farmer and managed his estates Zöbelwitz and Bäsau in the district of Freistadt , as well as Zeisdorf in the district of Sprottau . He was also active in many municipal offices, including as a state elder, member of the district council and the district committee in Liegnitz.

From 1881 to 1890 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Breslau 1 Guhrau , Steinau , Wohlau and the German Conservative Party . He was also a member of the Prussian manor house .
