Guisborough is a small town in the English Unitary Authority of Redcar and Cleveland . It is located on the northern edge of the North York Moors , about three miles southeast of Middlesbrough . According to the 2001 census, Guisborough had a total of 18,108 inhabitants.

Since 1964 Guisborough no longer has a train connection, but there are bus connections to the surrounding cities and towns. The nearest airport is Durham Tees Valley Airport, 30 km west .
