Gunther Burghagen

Gunther Burghagen (born July 14, 1965 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German author and television producer .

Life

Burghagen grew up near and in Frankfurt am Main and after graduating from high school, studied German, theater, film and television studies and Romance studies at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main. He completed his studies with a master's degree. In addition to his studies, he worked in Frankfurt am Main for the agency IPA plus and in Munich and Cologne for RTL.

From December 1994 Gunther Burghagen worked under Frank Berners and Marc Conrad as a planning editor in the film editorial team of RTL Television . In 1995 he took over the management of the editorial department and was responsible for the entire film and movie planning. Later I was also responsible for film purchasing and national sales. From 1999 he also took on the task of managing the sitcom editorial team. He headed it for ten years and was responsible for Das Amt , Die Camper , Nikola , Alles Atze , What are you looking at ?! , Sweet home , Kalle cooks , Out of this world , children, children , The teacher and the development and piloting of the show What are you watching ?! .

He has been a freelance producer, author and producer since 2010. In July 2010 he founded buffo Uunterhaltungs GmbH in Cologne. In addition to numerous developments (movie, series, sitcom, show), he won the pitch here as part of the ZDFneo-Lab and produced the show See it like a celebrity with David Werker . Burghagen has been working as a freelance writer, producer and producer again since November 2012. In summer 2013 he was visiting professor at the Institute for Media Culture and Theater at the University of Cologne.

In December 2013 his first book was published: “111 reasons to love Eintracht Frankfurt ” in Schwarzkopf & Schwarzkopf Verlag.

Burghagen is married to the journalist and yoga teacher Nina Schimmelpfeng-Burghagen. You have two daughters and live in Cologne.
