Guntmar Feuerstein
Guntmar Feuerstein (born June 7, 1956 ) is a German musician, comedian, author and music producer from Bochum .
During his studies at the Hochschule für Musik Westfalen-Lippe zu Dortmund in the subjects piano and guitar, he played in 1975 as a keyboard player in the band Breakfast . The band recorded their debut album It's time for in 1976 with Conny Plank in Neunkirchen-Seelscheid. In 1980 Guntmar Feuerstein founded the group Die Dschungelband . The band recorded two LPs and performed at the Rockpalast . In 1984, Feuerstein landed with the group Strandjungs, which emerged from the jungle band, at number one in the ZDF hit parade ( surfing on the Baggersee ). Other hits such as Kleines rotes Cabriolet , Kaffeebraun (1985) and As hot as the sun (1986) followed.
Since 1986 Guntmar Feuerstein has been a member of the 10-piece soul band Raoul Vandetta & Soulfingers as a guitarist and composer . From 1987 to 2002 he worked with Fred Ape (formerly Ape, Beck and Brinkmann ). With their music-cabaret duo Ape & Feuerstein they played on numerous German cabaret stages and released 9 CDs.
In 1995 and 1996 he and Peter Freiberg produced the comedy series Alle gegen die Mafia and Vom Winde bewrtrt for WDR radio in his recording studio .
Feuerstein has been an author for Atze Schröder since 1999 (stage programs, CD productions, TV series Alles Atze.) He composed the title music and the score for the TV comdy series Rita's World with Gabi Köster .
Together with cabaret artist Jochen Malmsheimer , he wrote the 86-part radio comedy series Dawegs und unterheim for WDR 2 in 2000 (as CD Ich fahr now! Die Kleffmanns . 2002)
Guntmar Feuerstein premiered his comedy program Nix against Long Hair in 2004 in Dortmund, numerous appearances (2005–2009) at nightwash and at the Quatsch Comedy Club in Berlin and Hamburg.
Guntmar Feuerstein works as a freelancer for WDR 5 (editor Lilipuz ).
As a TV writer, Feuerstein u. a. for the production company Brainpool Deutscher Comedypreis 2002–2007, Mario Barth presented 2007–2008 and for Horizont TV Mirja Boes presented Die Goldene Rose von Luzern in 2008.
In 2004 he founded the folk band L. Bow Grease together with Dave Jackson and produced 3 CDs and 2 maxi singles with this group. In addition to many appearances at major German folk festivals, there were three tours through England and Scotland.
In spring 2010 a new collaboration with Fred Ape began. The music-cabaret duo Ape & Feuerstein are back with their program Es lebe der König (Premiere November 2010) and the CD There is something behind it .
Together with his daughters Carla and Emily, he started the family band Die Feuersteins in 2013 . Her debut CD, Favorite Songs, was released in the same year.
In 2015 a musical collaboration begins with Helmut Sanftenschneider (maxi CD Songs from the West , 2015). Also in 2015, Guntmar Feuerstein started the Bochum singer-songwriter contest in cooperation with Radio Bochum . The songwriting competition has been held annually at the Anneliese Brost Musikforum Bochum since 2018 . The winners appear at the Bochum Total and Bochumer Musiksommer festivals .
