Gustav Hinke
Gustav Adolf Hinke (born August 24, 1844 in Dresden , † August 5, 1893 in Leipzig ) was a German oboist .
Life
Hinke was born in 1844 as the son of a musician. He attended the Dresden Kreuzschule from 1857 and studied oboe with Rudolf Hiebendahl at the Dresden Conservatory from 1859 to 1864 . He was also in the piano a. a. Taught by Julius Adolf Rühlmann .
In 1865 he became an aspirant in the Dresden court orchestra . In 1867 he became a member (1st oboist) of the Gewandhaus Orchestra in Leipzig. He also taught at the Leipzig Conservatory from 1873 to 1878 . His students included u. a. Alfred Gleissberg .
He was the editor of an oboe school at CF Peters Musikverlag in Leipzig.
