Gustav Adolf Freiherr von der Schulenburg (born October 4, 1632 in Altenhausen ; † September 27, 1691 in Halle (Saale) ) was a privy councilor of Brandenburg , chamber president and heir on Emden .

He was born as the son of the chief captain of the wood circle , a pupil of the humanist Johannes Caselius and a member of the fruitful society ("the salty"), Matthias von der Schulenburg (1578–1656) and his wife Margarete Schenck von Flechtingen .

From his marriage to Petronella Ottilie von Schwencken (* 1637; † April 20, 1674) u. a. the following children:

Life

Gustav Adolf studied in Helmstedt and Tübingen and took over his father's estate in Emden after his military service. He was a war commissioner and later a member of the select committee of the Brandenburg government. Friedrich Wilhelm appointed him captain of the Halberstadt offices of Krottorf (now part of Gröningen ) and Gatersleben .

He was accepted as a member of the Fruitful Society under the company name Der Hebende .
