Gustav Ickler (born June 4, 1870 in Zeitz , † January 28, 1951 in Göttingen ) was a locksmith, union chairman and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Gustav Ickler attended the community school in Zeitz and learned the metalworking trade from 1884 to 1887. From Easter 1887 to 1892 he wandered and worked in several German cities. In 1892 he came to Göttingen and from 1893 worked on the Prussian-Hessian Railway . He didn't serve. He was chairman of the German Reich and State Workers Cartel (based in Berlin) and chairman of the Association of German Railway Craftsmen and Workers (based in Berlin).

From 1912 to 1918 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of the Province of Hanover 12 ( Göttingen , Duderstadt , Münden ) and the National Liberal Party .
