Gustav Kohn (mathematician)
Gustav Kohn (born May 22, 1859 in Reichenau , † December 15, 1921 in Vienna ) was an Austrian mathematician .
From 1877 to 1883, Kohn studied mathematics and physics in Vienna with Leo Königsberger and Emil Weyr , Berlin (1882/83 with Karl Weierstrass ) and Strasbourg . In 1881 he received his doctorate in Vienna and was there after his habilitation in 1884 private lecturer, from 1894 extraordinary professor. He wrote articles on algebraic curves in the Encyclopedia of Mathematical Sciences . He also published an "Introduction to Synthetic Geometry". From 1919 he was a member of the Leopoldina in Halle.
