Gustav Robert von Maltzahn

Gustav Robert von Maltzahn (born October 20, 1807 in Filehne ; † August 13, 1882 in Karlsbad ) was a German lawyer and member of the Frankfurt National Assembly .

Life

origin

His parents were the Prussian captain Friedrich Gustav Bernhard von Maltzahn (* February 4, 1769 - November 15, 1833) and his wife Leopoldine Rehfeldt (* April 14, 1787; † September 18, 1870).

Career

He studied law in Berlin between 1825 and 1831 . Then he entered the Prussian judicial service. Between 1836 and 1845 he was higher regional court assessor in Landsberg an der Warthe and from 1840 in Frankfurt (Oder) . Between 1845 and 1848 he was initially provisional district court director and then until 1856 district and city court director in Küstrin . Then he was district court director in Bromberg and from 1863 in Frankfurt (Oder). After that he was president of the district court in Frankfurt (Oder) from 1878 to 1882. Since 1878 he had the title of a secret judiciary.

From May 18, 1848 to April 16, 1849 he was a member of the Frankfurt National Assembly. He represented the constituency of Königsberg in Brandenburg . He was first a member of the casino group and later the Landsberg group . He was secretary of the National Assembly from October 3, 1848 and April 16, 1849. He was a member of the committee responsible for initiating an investigation into MPs Robert Blum and Johann Georg Günther . He elected Friedrich Wilhelm IV as Emperor of the Germans. 1850 was a member of the Volkshaus of the Erfurt Union Parliament .

family

On April 14, 1839 he married Marie Karoline Wilhelmine von Werder (* December 25, 1815 - April 20, 1876), a daughter of Major General Johann von Werder . The couple had several children:

  • Klara Marie Leopoldine (February 27, 1840 - August 26, 1915)
  • Hans Gustav (born June 15, 1842 - † July 3, 1866), died near Königgrätz
  • Elisabeth Julie (born August 24, 1844) ⚭ 1868 Dr. Eugen Borgius († July 5, 1908), pastor at Königsberg Cathedral
  • Friedrich Helmuth Bernhard (born June 17, 1846; † April 2, 1916), government assessor ⚭ 1883 Karoline (Lilli) Amalie Wilhelmine von Tiedemann (born September 15, 1863)
