Gustav Trampe

Gustav Trampe (born March 1, 1932 in Warendorf , Westphalia , †  May 12, 2006 in Berlin ) was a German television journalist .

Life

Trampe studied history and was awarded a Dr. phil. PhD with Franz Schnabel . The topic of his dissertation is: "Reichswehr and Press (The military problem of the Weimar Republic in the mirror of the Frankfurter Zeitung , Münchner Latest News and Vorwärts )".

After working as a journalist for the Süddeutsche Zeitung and the newspaper Die Welt (1963–1966), Trampe came to ZDF . Here he worked as a freelancer in addition to ZDF for other broadcasters.

Before he started working as a political correspondent in Bonn from July 1970 , he was studio editor for the main edition of the ZDF program heute from 1967 to 1968 . He later moderated the international journal and, together with Klaus Bresser and Dieter Kronzucker, also the heute-journal , a current broadcast format developed by the three journalists.

From 1979 to 1981 Trampe headed the ZDF-Studio New York and then until 1988 the ZDF-Studio Brussels . Between 1988 and 1997 Trampe was chief correspondent and head of the ZDF regional studio (later: Hauptstadt-Studios) Berlin. He also moderated the Kennzeichen D magazine . From 1997 he presented the show Damals with Guido Knopp . For the daily newspaper Der Tagesspiegel he reviewed publications in the category Das Politische Buch .

Trampe was buried in the French cemetery in Berlin-Mitte.
