Gustav Wilhelm Frank

Gustav Wilhelm Frank (also Gustav Frank ; born September 25, 1832 in Schleiz ; † September 24, 1904 in Hinterbrühl ) was a Protestant theologian .

Gustav Frank studied at the University of Jena , where he became friends with his teacher Karl August Hase . With others he was 1890-1893 Hase's collected works out. In 1859 he completed his habilitation in Jena and in 1864 became an associate professor of theology. In 1867 he followed a call to Vienna as a full professor of systematic theology and symbolism , where he also became a member of the k. k. Evangelical upper church council was appointed.
