Gustav von Stösser

Gustav Christian Gottfried von Stösser (also Stoesser or Stößer ) (born September 22, 1826 in Emmendingen , † May 5, 1907 in Karlsruhe ) was a Baden lawyer and administrative officer.

origin

Gustav von Stösser came from an old Baden civil servant family. He was the son of the chief bailiff and privy councilor Karl von Stösser and belonged to the Protestant church.

Life

Gustav von Stösser attended high school in Karlsruhe and studied law at the universities of Freiburg and Heidelberg from 1844 to 1848 . In Heidelberg he became a member of the Corps Suevia Heidelberg . After the state examination in 1850, he joined the public service of the Grand Duchy of Baden as an actuary at the Offenburg Office . From 1850 to 1854 he was a legal intern at various offices, the government of the Middle Rhine District and at the court court of the Seekreis in Constance . In 1854 he became a trainee lawyer and in 1855 a secretarial intern at the Ministry of the Interior in Karlsruhe. In 1857 he moved to the Mannheim City Office , where he began as a secretary and was promoted to magistrate in 1859. In 1861 he was transferred to the head of the district office of Messkirch . In 1864 he received the title of senior bailiff there. In 1867 he moved to the head of the Waldshut district office in the same position . In 1871 he joined the Baden Ministry of Commerce as a ministerial advisor, where he was promoted to secret trainee in 1879. In 1881 he moved to the Baden Ministry of the Interior as a secret trainee. From 1887 to 1890, Stösser was a member of the Second Chamber of the Baden Estates Assembly as a member of the 7th electoral district (Säckingen) . In 1891 he was appointed Second Class Privy Councilor and Director of the Administrative Court. In 1899 Gustav von Stösser retired.

family

Gustav von Stösser married Mathilde von Chrismar in 1858. The marriage resulted in a son and two daughters. The son died in the Imperial Navy at the age of 20 .
