Gwendolyn Yates Whittle

Gwendolyn Yates Whittle (* 1961 ) is a sound engineer .

Life

Whittle began her career in 1985 initially as an assistant film editor , but switched to sound engineering in 1988, where she made her debut in Philip Kaufman's literary film adaptation, The Unbearable Lightness of Being . As a contributor to Skywalker Sound , she has worked on numerous George Lucas productions, including the feature films Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade and Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace . In the 1990s, she also worked on the television series The Adventures of Young Indiana Jones, as well as television films and direct-to-video productions based on the Indiana Jones character .

2010 she worked for Avatar - Pandora along with Christopher Boyes for the Oscar in the category sound editor Best nominated. In the following year, was for Legacy: Tron a second time nominated for the sound editing Oscar, this time together with Addison Teague . Whittle was nominated a total of 22 times for the Golden Reel Award between 1998 and 2016 , of which she won the award five times.
