With the Lilli-Martius-Schule (until 2010 Theodor-Möller-Schule elementary school and Freiherr-vom-Stein secondary and secondary school) (elementary and community school), it forms the Elmschenhagen school center. The school principal was initially Dr. Ewertsen. Margit Fuhrmann was the headmistress from 1985 until the summer holidays of 2009, and Ulrich Tobinski has been running this school since then. offer

In the upper level , the grammar school offers the choice between different profiles, including a sporty one. In each profile, a profile subject must also be selected on which the focus will later be. Only after the election will it be decided which profiles will finally be available and which students will be allowed to visit them. The core subjects Mathematics , German and English take the same number of hours in each profile. In addition, each profile offers the option of choosing between music , art or performing games . The chosen subject is then continued in appropriate groups. Other subjects, currently mainly computer science, can also be chosen. There is also the option of continuing the third foreign language in the qualification phase and thus, for example , learning a major Latinum .

In addition to Latin , Spanish is also offered as a second foreign language at the Elmschenhagen grammar school . In addition, a third foreign language (Latin, French, Spanish) can optionally be learned. The languages Turkish and Italian are also offered within the framework of working groups .

The four different pieces about the tomcat Stiefelfix , Snow White and the seven dwarfs were composed by Manfred Sabrowski, who also took over the direction of the musical. This annual event was known throughout the region beyond the city limits as the fairy tale opera .
