The Hérisson is a river in France that runs in the Jura department in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region . It rises in the municipal area of La Chaux-du-Dombief just inside the Haut-Jura Regional Nature Park , generally drains west to northwest and in its upper reaches, in six cascades, manages a height of 280 m. It crosses the lakes Lac du Val and Lac du Chambly and after a total of 21 kilometers flows into the Ain as a left tributary at the municipal boundary of Doucier and Châtillon .
