The brook from the Höhklinge rises on the northeastern edge of the Wertheim plateau at an altitude of 320  m above sea level. NHN . The source is northwest of the Wertheimer residential area Besteheider Höhe in a meadow in the Krummen hall .

The stream initially flows in a north-northeast direction through a green zone. About 300 m down the stream it is accompanied by a dense tree gallery. On the right side of the sports field, it is fed by the Schleutleinsklinge stream coming from the south . The stream from the Höhklinge now turns to the east and crosses under the Besteheider Landstrasse .

It finally flows east of Wertheim- Besteheid in the Christwiesen corridor a little below Main-kilometer 155 between the local campsite and the outdoor swimming pool at an altitude of 133.54  m above sea level. NHN from the left into the Main coming from the south.
