Hörndljoch

The Hörndljoch is a pass in the main ridge of the Zillertal Alps on the border between Tyrol ( Austria ) and South Tyrol ( Italy ). With a height of  2531  m above sea level. A. it forms the deepest notch in the main Alpine ridge between Pfitscher Joch ( 2246  m ) in the west and Felber Tauern in the east ( 2481  m ). The Hörndljoch is accessible by a marked hiking trail and connects the Zillertal via the Sundergrund with the Ahrntal . The path reaches it with 2553  m above sea level. A. Höhe Am Hörndle is its highest point to the west of the actual pass summit .
