The Hockey Club Neumarkt was an Italian ice hockey club from Neumarkt that played in the Alps Hockey League from the 2016/17 season to the 2017/18 season.
history
The Neumarkt Hockey Club was founded in 1963. Every year around August 15th, the club organized the Dolomitencup training tournament .
Between 1963 and 2016, the team played mainly in the second series (Serie B / A2), with the exception of the seasons 2003-2004 and 2013-2014, which was played in Serie A. In 2016 she joined the Alps Hockey League, where she played two seasons before retiring to devote herself only to the youth teams. In May 2019, HC Neumarkt and SC Auer (which had shared the youth sector for many years) merged and founded the Hockey Unterland Cavaliers .
The home games were sometimes played in the Raiffeisen Arena in Kaltern, the actual home stadium, the Wild Goose Arena, had a capacity of around 500 spectators. This was demolished in 2008, the new building in a new location celebrated the so-called First Celebration on June 20, 2010 and is now called Würth Arena .
