Hadrian Daude

Hadrian Daude ; and Adrian Daude (* 9. November 1704 in Fritzlar ; † 12. June 1755 in Würzburg ) was a German Jesuit , theologian and historian .

Life

In 1722 he joined the Society of Jesus and then became a teacher at the Jesuit colleges in Heiligenstadt , Mannheim , Mainz and finally in Wetzlar . He then became professor of philosophy at the University of Bamberg in Bamberg and from 1742 until his untimely death professor of philosophy , church history and controversial theology at the University of Würzburg in Würzburg .

While exercising his professorship, he wrote numerous historical writings. His main work, the Historia universalis et pragmatca Romani imperii , written from 1748 to 1754, deserves special mention .
