Hagen Wiel (* 1975 in Weimar ) is a German film director , screenwriter , video artist and film producer .

Life

Hagen Wiel grew up in Weimar, founded the film center "Aufbruch Kino" in Berlin, studied video art and photography at the University of Graphic and Book Art in Leipzig and at the University of Wales (UWIC) in Cardiff . In 2009 he completed his master class with Ralf Urban Bühler at the University of Graphic and Book Art Leipzig on the subject of body intelligence and taught the seminar "Experiments of the Body". During this time, Hagen Wiel began to realize stage productions by Heike Hennig , Sven Grunert , Helmut Stürmer and other video sets, reports and film essays. He worked regularly for the small theater - Kammerspiele Landshut , Stadttheater Gießen , Landesbühnen Sachsen and the Tollwood Festival in Munich. As a media artist , he developed sculptures on the subject of robotics , various interactive video installations, performances and experimental films, which have been presented at numerous international art exhibitions.
