Haining is a village in the market community of Seewalchen am Attersee ( cadastral community Litzlberg) in Upper Austria with 144 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020).

Although the village does not border directly on the Attersee , it is only about 500 to 1000 meters away as the crow flies. Due to the slight slope, there is a delightful view of the Buchberger Bay of the Attersee and the communities of Schörfling am Attersee , Weyregg am Attersee and Steinbach am Attersee against the backdrop of the Höllengebirge .

This incomparable view of the Attersee may be a reason for moving to or expanding the village to the south. However, some of the settled houses and villas are only inhabited during the summer.

Due to its location at the foot of the Buchberg , the village is also very popular as a starting point for hikers. The asphalt road to Berg im Attergau leads to the Buchberg and the hunting lodge via a forest road.
