Haji Adilo (* 1975 in Assela ) is a former Ethiopian marathon runner .

Together with Haile Gebrselassie he represented the high school of Assela in athletics competitions in his youth.

In 1996 he finished sixth in the African marathon championship. In 1997 and 1999 he won the Graz Marathon . In his second win, he not only set his personal best with 2:12:25 h, but also a course record that is still in place today.

Complications from multiple operations on his stomach forced him to stop walking. In late 2001 he made a comeback at the Addis Ababa City Municipal Marathon, where he finished fourth. In 2002 he came in sixth at the Reims Marathon , and in 2003 he came 13th.

As the training became more and more difficult for him, he decided to end his sporting career and to look after other athletes from now on. Since 2006 he has been the representative and head coach of Elite Sports Management International (ESMI) in Ethiopia. The group he leads includes his brothers Kasime Adilo and Hussein Adilo , his sister Radiya Adilo , Kasime's wife Teyba Erkesso , Dire Tune , Bazu Worku , Deriba Merga Atsede Baysa , Tilahun Regassa and Solomon Tsige .
