Hal Rockland (born February 11, 1975 in Darmstadt ) is a former American porn actor .

Life

Rockland is of Hungarian descent. From 1975 to 1981 he lived with his brothers Vince Rockland and Shane Rockland in Darmstadt and Blansingen , where he spent his first years. He later grew up in Florida , Chile and Costa Rica . His parents were Christian missionaries ; his father worked as a doctor for the World Vision organization .

After finishing school, he worked as a construction worker from the age of 15 . Later he was a manager in a Burger King branch. He also did bodybuilding as an amateur. He also appeared as a stripper , u. a. at The Metro nightclub in Denver . At the turn of the millennium he opened his own construction company in Colorado Springs in the US state of Colorado , which also carried out artistic commissions. With his construction company he had u. a. Orders for hotels in Dubai and Concrete Art ( concrete art work ) to the Bahamas .

Rockland is now married with one child and lives in Colorado.

Career

Rockland worked as a porn actor in the US porn industry from the early 1990s . His brother Vince was already active as a porn actor before him; his brother Shane finally followed suit. The Rockland brothers appeared together in several films. Rockland is best known from the porn film Three Brothers (1998) by Gino Colbert and Sam Slam , in which he appeared together with his two brothers - but without having sex with each other.

Rockland had an exclusive contract with the well-known US porn company Falcon Entertainment . He took over active and passive oral sex scenes in his films and was also to be seen in numerous anal sex scenes, whereby he was exclusively as "Top", i.e. H. in the active role. Although he was arguably exclusively straight , Rockland pretended to be bisexual in part, possibly to be of interest to a larger audience as a porn actor. His "dominant masculinity" was part of his screen image.

His porn debut is Saddle Tramps (1992) for the Falcon brand Mustang Studios , directed by Chi Chi LaRue . Rockland was seen in two scenes, in a threesome scene with his brother Vince and Tyler Regan and as a top in a duo scene with Patrick Ryan. In By Invitation Only (1994) he was in a foursome scene and, again together with Vince Rockland, in an orgy with a total of 13 men. In the multiple award-winning feature film Flashpoint: Hot as Hell (1994), a boy version of Thelma & Louise , he was seen in several group scenes. In his design, his “hot” interaction with porn actor Scott Baldwin (“Rockland and Baldwin are the hottest duo onscreen in years”) and the “romantic chemistry” between the two actors were particularly emphasized.

In The Backroom (1995), in which he also had some dialogue sequences, he was seen in the romantic opening scene with Casey Jordan (as Hal Rockland's ex-lover). In The Renegade (1995) he played with Ken Ryker . Rockland embodied the amorous, romantic lover who finally succeeds in seducing his initially reserved friend by the campfire and then spending the night in the tent . Rockland was also seen in a kissing scene in this film .

Rockland then worked in the two lavishly produced winter and snow porn films The Other Side of Aspen 3: Snowbound (1995) and The Other Side of Aspen 4: The Rescue (1995). In The Other Side of Aspen 3: Snowbound , he played a skier who had sex with his boyfriend in a romantic ski lodge in the mountains; here, too, Rockland was seen in kissing scenes. He was also seen in a threesome scene with Ken Ryker and Eric Knight in the sequel The Other Side of Aspen 4: The Rescue .

Hal Rockland's last appearance in a porn movie was in Three Brothers (1998). He was seen in a four-way scene together with his brothers Vince and Shane in a hotel room scene with Derek Cameron as "Bottom". The Rockland brothers do not have sexual intercourse here , however, only some homosexual soft sex elements (“helping hand”, “ass-play”) are practiced. Subsequently, Hal Rockland ended his porn career completely. The occasion is said to have been a conversation with his co-actor Ken Ryker, who told Rockland about a religious awakening experience and told Rockland about feelings of guilt about his porn career. Rockland, who was probably in a similar situation, is said to have left the Three Brothers set afterwards .

Various compilations from earlier Falcon films were later released with Hal Rockland , including a. Best of the Rockland Brothers (2007) and Falcon Studios 35th Anniversary Limited Edition , the anniversary edition for the 35th anniversary of Falcon Studios.

Rockland has received multiple awards as a performer. In 1994 he received the “Best Newcomer” award at the Gay Erotic Video Awards , and in 1995 the “Best Newcomer” award at the Adult Erotic Gay Video Awards .

Role Image and Marketing

Hal Rockland was heavily marketed by the production company Falcon. In the film Flashpoint: Hot as Hell (1994) he was presented as a cover model ; In particular, however, the marketing of Rocklands happened together with his brothers Vince and Hal as "The Rockland Brothers". Sometimes the Rockland brothers were presented as twins or triplets , albeit incorrectly .

In Bruno Gmünder Verlag published several illustrated books , Postcard-books, calendars and photo books in which Hal Rockland and his brothers as (Falcon) - Models were presented in erotic photos. In the book Gay Porn Heroes: 100 Most Famous Porn Stars published by Bruno Gmünder Verlag in 2011 , the Rockland brothers were presented in the section “The Dreamboats”.

In addition, numerous photo series by Hal Rockland and the Rockland Brothers appeared in gay men's magazines between 1994 and 1999; Photos appeared in Men magazine in October 1997 under the headline "Triple Play" .
