The Neckarbischofsheim Nord station is located on the Badische Schwarzbachtalbahn and belongs to station category 7. The Krebsbachtalbahn to Hüffenhardt has its starting point in Neckarbischofsheim Nord .
location
The train station is in the Kraichgau , about two kilometers northwest of the city of Neckarbischofsheim in the Waibstadt-Bernau district . In terms of track, it is a separation station , as the Krebsbachtalbahn branches off from the Meckesheim – Neckarelz line here. In operational terms, however, it is now a connecting station , as the trains to and from Hüffenhardt end on the other side of the station building on a stump track .
history
On October 1, 1887, a station called "Neckarbischofsheim" was built on the Meckesheim – Neckarelz railway line, which opened in 1862 , with the ticket issuing point for passenger traffic
in waiting station 35 - the station keeper's house just before the underpass from Waibstadt. There was a first class waiting room for the gentlemen from Helmstatt .
Since the limestone quarries in the Krebsbachtal between the communities of Helmhof and Obergimpern made a railway connection seem cheap, the Krebsbachtalbahn branching off a little further north, a branch line to Hüffenhardt, was created. It was opened on October 15, 1902 - together with today's train station, then called Neckarbischofsheim Staatsbahnhof . In the 1920s the station was renamed Neckarbischofsheim Reichsbahn , and in 1949 Neckarbischofsheim Nord .
The Südwestdeutsche Verkehrs-Aktiengesellschaft (SWEG) operates a workshop in Neckarbischofsheim Nord and carries out general inspections of its traction vehicles here . In addition, since the beginning of 2008, SWEG has been leasing parts of the workshops to the Mosbach locomotive manufacturer Gmeinder , who relocated the final assembly of its locomotives from Mosbach to its new "Plant II". In June 2008, the first rollout of a modernized locomotive in Bernau was celebrated.

The station is served by the S 51 of the RheinNeckar S-Bahn every hour between 5 a.m. and midnight; Mondays to Fridays with compression every half hour, served. Be used EMUs of 425 series .
On Sundays and public holidays from May to October there is an excursion on the Krebsbachtalbahn. In 2010 Uerdingen rail buses operated . Esslingen railcars operated in 2011 .
