Ham & Egg is an artist duo in the field of travesty from Niederkassel near Bonn .

Stage programs

The stage program of the duo composed of humorous entertainment - shows and famous present, mainly German Schlager in flashy costumes. The elements of the shows consist of comedy , singing , dance , sketches and conferences . Elements from the revue and variety show are used.

Following the principle of contemporary travesty , the two male actors primarily appear in exaggerated representation in female roles. They relate to fictional (e.g. "Miss Silicone", secretary "Riccarda Dötscher") and well-known real characters (e.g. Trude Herr , Caterina Valente , Maria & Margot Hellwig and Roy Black ).

The change of the individual program items are always associated with a change of costumes.

history

First attempts at a travesty show were tried out by the actors in a small setting on New Year's Eve 1996. The concept was subsequently further developed and worked out and presented in the form of several stage programs. In the spring of 2011, Ham & Egg also performed in Las Vegas .

Today, the duo is mainly on the road with their stage programs in western Germany.

Ham , alias Jörg Dilthey (born June 22, 1969 ), spent his childhood in Bonn-Bechlinghoven and trained as a typesetter . From 1992 to 2004 he worked as a photo setter in the Federal Chancellery . Since July 2004 he has been working at the Bundeswehr's media center in Sankt Augustin as an editorial assistant for the television broadcaster bwtv .

Egg , alias Andreas Schmitz (born July 12, 1972 in Bonn-Bad Godesberg ), spent his childhood and youth in Bonn-Duisdorf . He trained as a retailer and works part-time as a civil servant in Bonn's city administration.

criticism
