Hanna Folkesson (born June 15, 1988 ) is a Swedish soccer player . The midfielder made her debut for the Swedish national team in 2013 .

Career

societies

Folkesson comes from the youth of Umedalens IF . 2006 made his adult debut for the then second division club Umeå Södra FF . With the club, she rose to the Damallsvenskan at the end of the following year , but after only two wins this season, the team was relegated directly. She then moved to AIK within the first division . With the club, she was relegated from the first division at the end of the 2010 season , but remained loyal to the club and rose directly with him. In the 2012 season , the team succeeded again at the bottom of the table, so this time they left the club and moved on to Umeå IK . Here she came to eight games in the first half of the season before being sidelined due to an injury. After Folkesson's return to the football field, she was still a regular at Umeå IK for long periods. In 2015 she moved to KIF Örebro , but did not appear there and returned to Umeå for the 2016 season, where she made nine appearances in the last half of the season. In 2017 she moved to FC Rosengård , where she only missed one game in two seasons. She also played for the first time at European club level with Rosengård and scored her first international goal on October 11, 2017 in a 4-0 win against CFF Olimpia Cluj in the round of 32 of the 2017/18 UEFA Women's Champions League . In the second round, however, came the end against the Chelsea Ladies and a year later it only reached the last sixteen, where Slavia Prague was a little stronger. A month later, on December 1, 2018, her move to Djurgården for the 2019 season was announced.

National team

Along with the move to Umeå IK, Folkesson moved into the focus of the senior national team. As part of the Algarve Cup , she was appointed to the national team for the first time by Pia Sundhage in early 2013 and made her debut in the 1-1 draw against China in the selection jersey. Then she was a candidate for the squad for the 2013 European Championship finals in her own country , before tearing a ligament in the run-up to an international match against Norway at the end of May and was out for several weeks.

It was not taken into account for the 2015 World Cup and the 2016 Olympic Games. The 2017 European Championship was their first major tournament and they were used in the group matches against Italy and Russia and in the quarter-finals against hosts Netherlands , but were eliminated with their team against the eventual European champions. As part of qualifying for the 2019 World Cup , she scored her first international goal against Croatia on June 7, 2018, making it 4-0 in the 90th minute.
