Hanna Zora

Hanna Zora (born March 15, 1939 in Batnaya ; † October 2, 2016 ) was an Iraqi clergyman and archbishop ad personam of Mar Addai of Toronto .

Life

Hanna Zora received on 10 June 1962, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

Pope Paul VI appointed him on May 1, 1974 Archbishop of Ahvaz . The Archbishop of Tehran , Youhannan Semaan Issayi , donated him episcopal ordination on October 27 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Samuel Chauriz OAOC, Archbishop of Urmia and Bishop of Salamas , and Hanna Kello , Bishop of Amadiyah .

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on June 10, 2011 as Archbishop ad personam of the newly established Eparchy Mar Addai of Toronto .

On May 3, 2014, Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation.
