Hannes Aigner (born March 19, 1989 in Augsburg ) is a German canoeist .

He started in 1997 with the canoe slalom at the Augsburg Kayak Association . Aigner is a sports soldier in the Bundeswehr's sports promotion group . He lives in Augsburg.

In 2012 Aigner was able to prevail against the national competition and qualified in a single kayak for the 2012 Summer Olympics in London (Great Britain), where he won the bronze medal.

In addition to his normal competition races , Aigner also participated in the Dolomitenmann race and the Adidas Sickline World Championship in 2014 .

In 2016 he was able to qualify again for the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro and finished 4th there.

At the 2018 World Championships, Aigner won the single kayak title (K1).
