Hanno Millesi (Author)
Hanno Millesi (born May 15, 1966 in Vienna ) is an Austrian artist and writer .
Life
Hanno Millesi was born as the son of the surgeon Hanno Millesi . He studied art history at the universities in Vienna and Graz and at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna; he finished this study with the graduation to the doctor of philosophy . From 1992 to 1999 he was assistant to the action artist Hermann Nitsch and from 1999 to 2001 he was a freelancer at the Museum Moderner Kunst Stiftung Ludwig in Vienna . Millesi lives today as a freelance writer and artist in Vienna. In 2006 he took part in the Ingeborg Bachmann Competition in Klagenfurt at the suggestion of the juror Daniela Strigl . In addition to his literary activities, he has also been a guitarist with the band Albers since 1993 . From April 2016 to February 2017, Millesi took pencil, notebook & laptop at the special exhibition . 10 positions of current writing of the Austrian Literature Museum.
Hanno Millesi is the author of narrative works and essayistic prose .
Hanno Millesi is a member of the Graz Authors ' Assembly and the authors ' interest group . He received u. a. 2000 the anniversary prize of the Literar-Mechana and an Austrian state scholarship for literature in 2001 and 2003 . In autumn 2017 he was awarded the Reinhard Priessnitz Prize . With his novel Die Vier Weltteile , which reached its third edition within a short period of time, the author was on the SWR best list in April 2018 and on the ORF best list in May and June of the same year . He was also nominated for the Austrian Book Prize.
