Hanno von Graevenitz

Hanno Theodor von Graevenitz (born October 1, 1937 in Cosel ; † May 4, 2007 in Munich ) was a German diplomat .

Life

Hanno von Graevenitz studied law and joined the foreign service in 1965 . From 1968 to 1971 he was accredited at the Kinshasa Embassy and from 1971 to 1974 at the Quito Embassy . From 1974 to 1977 he was employed in the Foreign Office in Bonn . From 1977 to 1980 he was accredited at the Nicosia Embassy. In Nicosia Hanno was from Graevenitz d'affaires , was one of his embassy staff Counselor Paul Kurbjuhn (* 1913). From 1980 to 1984 he was accredited at the Bangkok embassy . From 1984 to March 1987 he was employed at the Foreign Office in Bonn. From March 1984 to 1984 he headed the economics department at the Embassy in The Hague. In 1995 he was Consul General in London , in 2000 Consul General in Houston and in 2003 Consul General in Edinburgh .
