The Hanover College in Hanover is a " gymnasium for adults " and also describes itself as an " institute for obtaining university entrance qualifications ". The current (2016) location of the adult education facility founded in 1967 , at which the secondary school diploma or technical college entrance qualification can be obtained, is Thurnitistraße 6 in the Döhren district , at whose address the evening grammar school is also housed.

The Hannover-Kolleg is a full-time school for adults who have already completed vocational training or who have been employed for at least three years and then want to improve their qualifications through a second educational path . Comparable to the lessons in the Lower Saxony upper levels , the participants can get to the general university entrance qualification .

The focus of the Hannover-Kolleg is on the subjects of mathematics / natural sciences and social sciences . In addition to the mentor program , the special features also include the preliminary courses for other foreign languages .

The Hannover-Kolleg has its own development association, which is supported by sponsors. With this support association, the Hannover-Kolleg is able to create modern teaching conditions for the students.
