Hans-Heinrich Piepgras
Hans-Heinrich "Henry" Piepgras (* 1961 in Götheby ) is a German politician ( Pirate Party Germany ) and was chairman of the Pirate Party Schleswig-Holstein from July 11, 2010 to June 24, 2012 and has been Secretary General of the state association since June 2013.
biography
Piepgras began studying mineralogy with a minor in mathematics after two years of military service as a temporary soldier . After dropping out, he retrained as a programmer for database and data communication systems and has been working in the IT sector since 1989 ; in the 1990s as an independent entrepreneur and since 2001 as an employee as a group and project manager. He is married, stepfather of two sons and lives in Klein Offenseth-Sparrieshoop .
Political commitment
Piepgras joined the Pirate Party in July 2007. There he was, among other things, the presiding judge in the Schleswig-Holstein regional arbitration court from December 2008 to July 2009 and then until December 2009 judge in the party's federal arbitration tribunal, then deputy chairman of the state board until July 2010 and then its chairman. In June 2012 he did not run again for the election of the chairman.
He ran in the 2009 Bundestag election at number 5 on the list of his regional association. In the state elections in Schleswig-Holstein in 2009 , in which the party failed with 1.8 percent of the five percent hurdle, he was ranked 7th on the state list and at the same time achieved 2.1 percent of the vote as a direct candidate in his constituency of Elmshorn .
In the early state elections in Schleswig-Holstein in 2012 , he ran again in 7th place on the state list and as a direct candidate in his constituency with a result of 8.4 percent of the vote. His wife Birgitt Piepgras ran for this state election in 9th place on the list, his stepson Torge Schmidt moved into the state parliament as the top candidate.
