Klein Offenseth-Sparrieshoop ( Low German : Lütt Offenseet-Sparrshoop ) is a municipality in the Pinneberg district in Schleswig-Holstein . It is developing from an agricultural village into a popular residential community.
Geography and traffic
Klein Offenseth-Sparrieshoop borders directly on the town of Elmshorn . The two districts of Klein Offenseth and Sparrieshoop are separated by the A 23 motorway . The community is developed through the junction of the A 23 Horst -Elmshorn, the state roads L 112 and L 288, and a stop on the Elmshorn-Henstedt-Ulzburg railway line ( AKN line A 3). The Offenau flows through the community.

Culture and sights
One of the sights of the community is the rose park of Rosen Kordes, which lies between the two districts of Klein Offenseth and Sparrieshoop.

Klein Offenseth-Sparrieshoop has made a name for itself in the field of rose cultivation through the company W. Kordes' Sons located here . Many world-famous rose varieties have their origin in Sparrieshoop. The rose garden , which is visited by more and more tourists, bears witness to this ; entry is free. A global animal feed manufacturer, SALVANA, also conducts its business from its headquarters in Klein Offenseth-Sparrieshoop. Of the formerly large number of agricultural businesses, only a few remain today, as in most of the municipalities in the region, the majority of the residents work in the surrounding cities or in Hamburg .
Facilities
Kindergarten and elementary school are located in the village, secondary schools are available in neighboring Elmshorn and in Barmstedt . There is also a well-equipped library.
