Hans-Heinrich Reckeweg

Hans-Heinrich Reckeweg (born May 9, 1905 in Herford / Prussian Province of Westphalia , † June 13, 1985 in Baden-Baden ) is the founder of homotoxicology , a modification and further development of homeopathy .

Reckeweg was born in 1905 as the son of the Herford elementary school teacher Heinrich Reckeweg. His father came into contact with homeopathy through illnesses of his own . 1924–1930 he studied medicine in Würzburg , Münster , Berlin and Bonn . In Berlin he also came into contact with homeopathy through Professor August Bier . In 1928 he passed the state examination, and in 1930 he received his doctorate in Bonn. From 1930 to 1932 Reckeweg was an assistant doctor in the Knappschaftskrankenhaus Völklingen and in the internal department of the Hamburg-Harburg hospital . After marrying his wife Margarete, née Stehle, he moved to Berlin. In 1936 he founded the drug company Heel , the name of which is an acronym from the phrase “ H erba E st E x L uce” (“The medicinal plant draws its strength from sunlight”). 1946 released from captivity and moved to Triberg .

Between 1948 and 1949 Reckeweg developed homotoxicology and antihomotoxic therapy. In 1954, Reckeweg relocated the practice and company headquarters to Baden-Baden . In 1955 his book "Homotoxins and Homotoxicoses - Basics of a Synthesis of Medicine" was published. 1961 Foundation of the "Society for Homotoxicology and Antihomotoxic Therapy". 1962 Publication of the specialist journal “Homotoxinjournal”, which in 1972 is renamed “ Biological Medicine ”. 1978 Sale of pharmaceutical company and relocation to Albuquerque, New Mexico.

His brothers Klaus Günther Reckeweg and Alfred Reckeweg founded the company Dr. A. Reckeweg & Co. GmbH. Today the company is known as Pharmaceutical Factory Dr. Reckeweg & Co. GmbH. The new production and administrative headquarters are in Bensheim . Particular emphasis is placed on the manufacture of homeopathic combination drugs (Gastreu series) and veterinary drugs (ReVet series).
