Hans-Hubertus Bühmann

Hans-Hubertus Bühmann (born March 6, 1921 in Bremervörde ; † January 31, 2014 ) was a German forest manager and Lower Saxony state politician ( CDU ).

Life

Hans-Hubertus Bühmann graduated from secondary school with a school leaving certificate and participated in World War II from 1939 to 1945 , most recently as a lieutenant at sea .

After the end of the war he began an agricultural apprenticeship as well as forestry training and studied business administration for a few semesters . As a self-employed forester he worked in a forest in Schelploh in the municipality of Dalle . Later he was the owner of the Weyhausen Forestry Company, Weyhausen district and Dalle.

Bühmann had been a member of the CDU since 1947. He became a board member of the Landkrankenkasse Celle and the Forest Association Eschede . He was also chairman of the tariff commission for forest workers in private forests in the Hanover Chamber of Agriculture . Bühmann was a member of the Hanover Chamber of Agriculture and an honorary labor judge . He was a board member and deputy head of the Lachte entertainment association as well as chairman of the forestry association in Northwest Germany . For many years he was chairman of the supervisory board of the Südheide housing cooperative. He was also an honorary member of the Dalle sports club and the Hegering Eschede. From 1993 to 1996 Bühmann was a member of the Board of Directors of Sparkasse Celle .

Political career

From 1952 to 1967 Bühmann was a council member in the community of Dalle; from 1955 he was mayor and honorary community director. From 1956 to 1991 Bühmann was a member of the district council of the district of Celle ; from 1961 he was chairman of the CDU district parliamentary group. From 1966 to 1991 he was honorary district administrator for the Celle district; In 1991 the district council appointed him honorary district administrator . From 1967 to 1976 he was also a member of the joint municipality council and mayor of the former joint municipality of Eschede .

Bühmann was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament from 1963 to 1974 (5th to 7th electoral term) . There he was chairman of the committee of rules of procedure from 1970 to 1974.

Honors

Hubertus Bühmann was the holder of the First Class Cross of Merit of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany , the Great Cross of Merit of the Lower Saxony Order of Merit , the Gold Cross of Honor of the Bundeswehr , the golden badge of the German Hunting Association , the Medal of Honor of the Association of the Housing Industry and the Paul Harris Medal of Rotary International .
